Since 2009, Corporate Governance Forum (CGFT) implements CDP Climate Change & Water Programs and supports Deforestation & Cities Programs in Turkey. CDP is called as the world's most powerful green NGO by the Harvard Business Review.

CDP Climate Change Program

Since 2009, Corporate Governance Forum has been focusing on climate change issues in cooperation with CDP which has been designated as the world's most credible green NGO by the Harvard Business Review.

Each year, CDP send an invitation to the companies listed in Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) 100 Index to explain their climate change policies within the scope of CDP Climate Change Program. By 2019, the number of responding companies has reached 54 in Turkey. Each year, the data collected from these companies is evaluated according to CDP's rating methodology and special reports are prepared by CDP Turkey.

CDP Water Program

In 2015 with the support of Garanti Bank, the CDP Water Program have been initiated in Turkey by Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum.

CDP believes that the private sector needs to take responsibility for water and encourages them to take action by offering a platform to disclose their water use and impact on water resources. To protect water resources, CDP is acting on behalf of 515 corporate investors representing $106 trillion in assets and is calling on the world's leading companies to take action on water protection.

CDP Water Program within the scope of Turkey, invited 50 companies from BIST 100 list, which are the companies in the sectors most exposed to risks associated with water. In 2019, 32 companies responded to the CDP Water Program in Turkey, up from 15 just three years ago.

CDP Deforestation Program

Today, a significant number of large corporations are still not transparent enough about their impact on global deforestation. In addition, many are insufficient to fight against deforestation.
More than 1,500 companies, which are considered by investors to be affected by deforestation risks and are required to disclose on the matter, are doing so through the reporting platform of the CDP.

CDP Cities Program

Cities have great responsibilities in tackling climate change. CDP, on the other hand, offers a platform for cities to measure, manage and report their environmental data. Globally CDP which allows more than 800 municipalities to disclose has enabled 9 municipalities to report in 2019 in Turkey.
