The world’s most powerful and effective green NGO CDP, the CDP Global Water Report and Turkey results which aims to mobilize the private sector about water resources has announced on October 27, 2015 at the meeting held in Salt Galata.

According to the CDP's new Global Water Report titled Accelerating Action, a total of eight companies in the world have been awarded the CDP Water A List for their approach to water management. This leader list does not include a company from Turkey.

According to the Turkey results announced for the first time this year, %36 of the companies were exposed to water-related adverse effects in the last reporting year. 64% of companies report that water has become an important risk for their businesses, while 86% say that water creates opportunities for companies.

The CDP Water Program has launched for the first time in 2015 by Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum with the support and cooperation of Garanti Bank. As well as the outputs of CDP 2015 Global Water Report, the CDP Turkey Water Results Report which contains an analysis of company respondents from Turkey and which prepared by Deloitte Turkey’s support has also announced on October 27, 2015 on Tuesday at 10:00 at Salt Galata.

CDP Global Water Report main outcomes and CDP Water Program Turkey results were announced in the meeting. Opening speeches of the meeting were made by Prof. Sondan Durukanoğlu Feyiz (Vice Rector of Sabanci University), Ebru Dildar Edin (Vice General Manager of Garanti Bank). After the video message of Cate Lamb, Head of CDP Water Program, Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum Director Dr. Melsa Ararat, presented CDP Global Water Report and Turkey the results.
